Hello! I’m Amanda Cilek, a Portland-based artist and designer exploring the intersection of data, geography, and culture through visual storytelling. My work blends printmaking and information design to transform statistics, maps, and systems into layered visual experiences.

I’m interested in how the ways we organize and visualize information shape our understanding of the world and of one another. Through color, texture, and abstraction, I aim to make complex ideas feel more human, approachable, and emotionally resonant. Many of my pieces contain embedded data visualizations or altered geographic forms that reveal themselves slowly over time, encouraging curiosity and new ways of seeing familiar subjects.

Outside the studio, I’m usually hiking in the Pacific Northwest, baking vegan treats, or finding new ways to live more sustainably.
